Veet hair removal cream

Here’s a user review on an alternative to Nono hair removal, the Veet hair removal cream.

Hi everyone, now I have a bit of a question for you guys. Have you ever bought anything because you read in a magazine that a certain celebrity uses it? Now I am more than guilty of doing this and a lot of things in my collection I have because some celebrity claimed that it works really well or they swear by it.

So today’s review is something I purchased purely because I read in a magazine that a celebrity raves about this. This is the Veet spray on hair removal cream. And I’ve actually got 2, this is the sensitive skin version and this is the normal skin version. Basically it’s a spray on cream, you don’t need to shake it up or anything. You just spray it directly on either your legs, armpit or bikini line. And you leave it for 5 to 10 minutes, no longer than 10, and then you scrape it off using this thing here.

I picked these up for about 7 pounds each. The main reason I got these was because one of the girls in a group here in the UK raved about this stuff. She said that when you use it, you won’t need to do anything to the hair on your legs for at least 3 weeks. So I was like OMG I’ve got to try this!

Now I have really fine hairs on my legs, they’re black, but they’re really fine and I’ve never really needed to do much to them. Like if I shave my legs, I don’t need to shave again probably for about 2 to 3 weeks because they grow so slowly and they grow really flat. So I’ve always been really lucky but I thought this would be an easy alternative and I just really wanted to try it out.

The thing about this is I hate it, it’s really really bad. Now I did use the sensitive skin version because even though my skin’s allright, I didn’t want to go in with something harsh to start off with. So I did use this one, sprayed it on my legs, left it on for about 10 minutes. You just do a little test scrape to see if some of the hair comes off, and it did. So I jumped in the shower and scraped it off, but what it did was it kind of broke off the hairs halfway, and then there’s something about the formula that turns your hair coarse looking. So I was left with stubble on my legs that looked really disgusting, so I wasn’t impressed. I tried it on my underarms, the exact same thing, and I didn’t even bother trying it on my bikini line.

So I really really don’t like this hair removal cream. The other downside that I don’t like about this is the next day I noticed that the hairs were growing back already. And for me that is really rare. It would take probably about 3 or 4 days for me to notice stubble and I noticed it the next day.

So I really don’t like this, I would not recommend it to anyone. Remember, this is just my own opinion, if I don’t like it that doesn’t mean it’s not gonna work for you. But it just really did not work for me, if anything, it made the hairs on my legs worse, which I’m really annoyed about. And I probably shouldn’t have messed around and just stuck to what I was doing in the first place.

It smells really disgusting, it comes out like a thick white foam. I smells like old school air freshener, and I don’t like that. I don’t know if the other one smells nicer, but the sensitive skin one stinks. and I don’t know what I’m going to do with this because I certainly don’t want to use it.

But yeah basically it’s not good. Especially on my underarms, it would’ve taken a lot longer than 10 minutes for it to get the hair off, and there’s not a lot of hair in my underarms and it’s quite fine too.

So I was really disappointed in this hair removal cream and that was one celebrity’s advice that I will not be taking again!
